This is a 1/18 scale diecast by Greenlight Collectibles of Scott Dixon's 2008 Target Chip Ganassi Racing IRL car. This new version is an exacting replica of this car as it appeared in victory circle after winning the Indy 500. This car was personally autographed by Scott. This is an entirely new car design to commemorate the 2008 Indy 500 win. The box & stand clearly mark thia s the winning car. The car itself has significant differences from the earlier 2008 IRL version.
This new car has all the latest aerodynamic devices added to the car during testing at Indy. Most noticeable are the white deflectors at the rear of the side pods in front of the rear wheels. Also, this car has a removable engine cowl & a highly detailed engine. For the first time Greenlight has included very subtle weather streaking on the car. This was carefully designed & excuted & it is not noticed at first glance. But upon closer inspection, you find rubber/oil deposits where you would expect them to appear after 500 miles. The car pictured on the rear of the box is obviously a posed photo with a perfectly clean car. The replica that Greenlight has produced is of this same car exactly as it appeared at the end of the race.
Standardfeatures include custom design packaging with team shop imagery in the background, a full metal body and chassis, sequentially numbered metal base and all are officially lisenced with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. This replica includes an accurately detailed driver in the cockpit. This car shown in the photos is a display model. The one that you will receive is BRAND NEW in a UNOPENED box.
