#0 MARTINI PORSCHE 917/20
1974 Interserie Champion
driven by Herbert Muller
This is a beautifully crafted 1/18 scale, BRAND NEW, NEVER OPENED replica by Minichamps of Martini Racing Porsche 917/20 that took to the 1974 Interserie Championship in Europe. The car was, in fact, the Porsche 917/30 chassis number 001, which started life as a test mule for the all conquering Penske's Sunoco twin turbo Porsche that dominated the 1973 CanAm with Mark Donohue at the controls. It became known as "the Can Am Killer".
Chassis 001 was then loaned out to various European teams to contest the Interserie series in 1973 and 1974 and survives to this day as a museum piece. The car was dubbed a 917/20 because it mated the 917/30 front bodywork to the tail section of a 917/10. This Minichamps replica is presented as Muller's 1974 Nurburgring Supersprint winner. Some of this replica's many features include a very accurate engine, tubular chassis, opening doors, authentic graphics, wire wheels plus:
158 Parts with 315 Decorations: 135 Mask sprays 43 Tampo prints 26 Decals 106 Free sprays 5 Chromed parts
With this level of detail & a price under $100, this replica is a "Best Buy". The photos are of a display model. The one that you receive will be Brand New in an Unopened box.
